A Place To Pray And A Community Center To Learn
The Islamic Cultural Center of Iceland (ICCI), founded in 2008, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Muslim community through worship, education via the IQRA school, and services like funerals and matrimonials. It promotes an inclusive environment for Muslims and non-Muslims to connect, learn, and foster mutual respect, while presenting an authentic image of Islam. Islamic Cultural Center of Iceland Mission
The Islamic Cultural Center of Iceland (ICCI) is committed to serving the Muslim community by providing a larger place of worship, hosting Islamic events, and offering educational programs through the IQRA school, including instruction in Arabic, English, Icelandic, and Quranic studies. We aim to foster an inclusive environment that promotes peace, builds tolerance, and encourages mutual respect across diverse faiths.
Islamic Cultural Center of Iceland Vision
We aim to purchase a 500-square-meter building in Reykjavík to serve as our new mosque and cultural center. With property costs at approximately 1 million ISK per square meter, we need to raise 500 million ISK to secure a spacious, functional space for:
- A large prayer hall for prayers and Eid celebrations.
- Expanded classrooms for the IQRA school.
- Spaces for youth programs, women’s activities, and community events.
- A library and meeting areas for education and interfaith dialogue.
